Beauty and comfort in baby's room

Ensuring the comfort and safety of the most precious members of their family is a great joy and a great responsibility for new parents. Creating an environment that's beautiful and comfortable can have a long lasting impact on the development of a healthy child. Finding the right crib bedding to create that environment is the first step.

Many expectant parents will start to decorate the baby's room long before he or she is born. How do you decide on which pattern to get for your child? If you know the baby’s gender, you can pick out the colors you want in the baby’s room and then base the bedding pattern on those. Or you can pick out a pattern or theme and then paint the baby’s room to coordinate with that. Whether you prefer bright primary colors or softer pastels, patterns for girls or boys or neutral patterns that will be appropriate in either a boy or a girl’s room, we have lots of choices for your baby’s room.

Crib bedding includes fitted sheets for crib mattresses, quilts and comforters, and bumper pads. Frequently these are sold in sets. Many sets are three-piece sets, which include the fitted crib sheet, a comforter and a crib bumper. Four-piece sets will include a sheet, comforter, bumper and a crib-sized crib ruffle. Blanket Warehouse also has several nine-piece sets that include a crib comforter, crib bumper, fitted crib sheet, dust ruffle, diaper stacker, toy bag, decorative pillow and two window valances.

It is always a good idea to have lots of extra sheets for baby's crib. Most new parents will find themselves changing the crib sheet at least once a day -- sometimes more often than that. While the parents of new babies do laundry frequently, it makes life a little easier if they can go a couple of days without washing the baby's bedding.

As their child grows, some people will get their child a toddler bed, or they originally purchased a crib that will convert to a toddler bed. Toddler beds are a great transitional bed from a crib to a regular twin-sized bed. Toddler beds use a crib-sized mattress (52 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 6 inches high) but are more like a traditional bed. Toddler bedding sets will include a fitted sheet, flat sheet, comforter, pillow sham and pillowcase.

Crib and toddler bedding are available in myriad patterns. Some are traditional girls’ or boys’ patterns, others are for both boys and girls – book themes, like Winnie the Pooh, cartoon characters, like Sponge Bob or Sesame Street characters or even movie themes, for example.

Blanket Warehouse has you covered with lots of baby bedding styles to pick from. From crib sets, to comforters, to blankets, Blanket Warehouse’s great deals on Baby Bedding will certainly give you a good night's sleep.
