What the heck is a daybed?

A daybed is a twin bed that's dressed up to resemble a sofa or couch. They're a great way to add seating to a room while providing extra sleeping space for overnight guests. Daybeds typically feature a back and sides, but not always. Sometimes it's just a twin bed with a daybed comforter, bedskirt and two or three pillows in shams propped against the wall to resemble a sofa.

But a daybed is always a great way to make the most of limited space -- in a bedroom, home office, guest room, or a family room or rec room!

At Blanket Warehouse, we have daybed sets in a wide variety of styles -- one will definitely match the design you have in mind!

Pillows Complete the Look
Adding bolster pillows -- those are the long round pillows on the ends of the bed -- make the bed even more like a sofa by serving as "arms" of the bed. All of our daybed patterns have optional pillows in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Be sure to click on the "collection" tab on the ordering/information page to find the pillows and accessories to complete your look!

Find Your Style

We have casual styles that are bright and airy and lend a friendly air to your room. Our Camp 1830 Daybed Ensemble is one example:
If your tastes are a bit more formal, we have styles that will coordinate that look.

Mix & Match
Most of our daybed sites come with color coordinated bed skirts, pillow shams and comforters. Some allow you to mix and match the colors you choose to tailor your look to your taste. Our Caribbean Color Collection lets you choose from lavender, teal, sky blue, yellow, pink and greens. Check out your choices:

If a modern, clean look is more your style, we have daybed ensembles to meet your needs.

Kids and Teens Patterns
Daybeds are not just for guest rooms and home offices. Add a bed for sleepovers to your child's room while making a cozy spot for reading or quiet play as well. Our Primary Colors Daybed Set is one of the many great designs that will make your child's room sing.

And as the kids grow into teenagers, sleepovers and slumber parties will become more frequent. Having a second bed that doubles as seating will definitely be a help. When you can coordinate the bedding with your teen's bedding, it keeps the room looking coordinated and neater. For example, our Flower Fantasy pattern is available as a daybed ensemble as well as a twin or queen size bed.

Look around our daybed pages to find a daybed pattern and accessories to create the look you want for your home!  We've got you covered!
